Alright people, I know you are checking out the page. I track the number of unique site visits this blog gets. None of you ever post comments though. I need some incentive to keep updating this blog right?
Here's the bribe:
If we can get 10 new comments, I will scan and post ONE of our pictures from our 9 week ultrasound. If we also get 10 more votes on our poll, I will post all THREE ultrasound pictures. Make it happen people!

Check out our poll
I am absolutely dying to find out the sex! I can't hardly take it! I know, I know patience is a virtue and all, but come on! In the mean time, take our poll (to the right) and let us know what you think. Leave your reasoning in the comment section.

Our little one
By now, I'm sure all of you have heard our news. That is, if anyone actually bothers to read this. We've been getting a lot of questions, so I thought I'd try to write a post letting you all know what we know so far.
-I am 13 weeks pregnant as of today. EDD is 8/1/2009.
-We found out we were expecting on Novmber 23, 2008. (Yes, it was planned. Yes, people have had the audacity to ask if it was planned. Unplanned does not always equal unwanted!).
-We started trying in October, got pregnant in November. November was the first month we got the timing right, so we are really lucky. I was charting to conceive.
-Our first appointment was on December 30. We had a viability ultrasound and everything looked great! We got to see our little one wiggling around and hear the heartbeat. The heartbeat was 158.
-My next appointment was January 7. I heard the heartbeat again, this time the nurse practitioner simply said it was in the upper 150s. My next appointment isn't for a few weeks.
-I haven't had much morning sickness. Lucky for me, my nausea usually was just in the mornings and was better by lunch. I sometimes had a little nausea in the evenings as well.
-I'm not showing yet, but my pants don't really fit anymore :( I've gained about 4 lbs so far.
-Yes, I have heartburn already. It hasn't been too bad, but I did get heartburn after eating a piece of cake. CAKE!
-We do plan on finding out the sex, but that probably won't be for another couple of months.
-No weird cravings. Actually, not really even any consistent cravings. Although, I do seem to have a thing for fruit flavored snacks. Strawberry Jell-o and lime popsicles in particular.
If you have any other questions we will be happy to answer them, within reason of course!

Find of the week
Anyone who knows me likely knows that I am an internet junkie. Because I spend so much time surfing the net I tend to find a lot of cool things, so I thought I'd start passing them along to all of you.
Ebates
This is probably my favorite, and the timing is perfect with the holiday shopping season and all. Ebates actually sends you monet for shopping. Just go to www.ebates.com and create an account. Anytime you make an online purchase (which is pretty often if you're anything like me!) go to Ebates first. Ebates links to tons of stores and every time you use Ebates to make a purchase a percentage of that amount is added to your Ebates account. Ebates sends you a check every few months, given that you have earned more than $5 in the last payment cycle. Pretty cool, right? You can also find tons of online sales/free shipping codes on Ebates.
If you decide to use Ebates you can use me asa referral, heatherchelle02@hotmail.com

The latest on Audrey
We let Audrey sleep in the bedroom with us for the first time this past weekend. We'd tried before, but she was just too excitable and ran around in circles, jumping on and off the bed. This past Friday I had been cleaning the bedroom while Audrey was outside on her tie-out. Since both cats had manged to sneak in I left the bedroom door open after I came back out in to the living room and let Audrey in. After a while I realized Audrey had disappeared and I found her lounging on her bed. I convinced Clint she'd be calm enough to sleep with us, and although he didn't believe me we gave it a try. The good news? She didn't leave the bed all night. The bad news? She didn't leave the bed all night! It made for very awkward sleeping, but I guess it helps my case when I argue for a king size bed. I tried making her a little bed on the floor, but she wants no part of it. Of course, she has no actual bed these days as she outgrew the one she had as a puppy and has destroyed every bed since. I'd love to get her a new bed for Christmas, but I don't want to spen the money if she won't sleep on it. We'll see.

Updates
I've been meaning to update this for a while now. I wish I could say I have a good excuse, but really I just haven't gotten around to it.
Since my last post, I started a job as the Lead Toddler Teacher at a daycare in West Lafayette. The kids were adorable, but it was exhausting. There were also a lot of aspects of the job that left me really frustrated. More recently, I was offered a position with Wabash Valley Hospital as a Case Manager for their outpatient program, which I accepted. I'll be starting on November 17. Halloween was my last day at the daycare and while I'm excited to finally have my first "professional" job, I'd be lying if I didn't say it was a little bittersweet. I already miss the kids, in fact I cried my whole way home. I can always stop by to visit though, and I have to go back in a couple of weeks to pick up my last check, so I will get to peek in on them. In the meantime, I am looking forward to my new job, AND getting to shop for a work wardrobe! Clint, not so much on that last part.
As for Clint, he's back to his evening classes and still working for Long Electric. Those of you who have are lucky enough to have been graced by Audrey's presence will be happy to know that she has calmed down tremendously. We could see a distinct change in her when we picked her up from the kennel the day after the wedding and she's been holding strong ever since. We are extremely grateful for this, especially given the fact that she now weighs a hearty 72 pounds!
